About the Position Overview The marketing team is charged with the development and execution of marketing plans to support the Australia & New Zealand Division in achieving its business objectives. The Analyst Marketing role is critical to the operations of the department and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to make it their own. The role requires a team player who can partner with the different members of the Marketing & Communications team and finance teams to ensure that Advertising & Marketing (A&M) is planned and spent in a timely way against the appropriate initiatives. Role Responsible for management of monthly & forecast for Communications, Advertising & Marketing budget including reconciliation of actual spends. Activities include managing risks and opportunities, monitoring the A&M spends and flagging any likely over and underspends Provide reporting and analysis on types of spend within A&M to inform types of spend, opportunities for saving and efficiencies Provide support on contracts - flagging any risks and opportunities to maximize savings and efficiencies working closely with sourcing team Supports Marketing team on A&M related PO and invoice management and tracking Interface with the Marketing & Communications team and Finance team to support the finance process and manage the A&M budget. Performs defined and/or targeted financial and budget related tasks under direct supervision Performs ad-hoc financial analysis to support A&M spending decisions, especially for major marketing projects highlighting areas of over and underspend Finance administration, including ownership of contracts process & invoicing Input of budget forecast on Global Marketing Expense Tool & be the Subject matter expert for Australasia Supports marketing strategies, activities, and events (includes advertising, promotions, sponsorships, trade shows, webinars, websites) by coordinating logistics and providing support such as raising purchase requisition and helping with the preparation of SOW, as directed Manage the marketing budget tracking and accruals process on behalf of wider Marketing team, including PO and invoice management Tracks budget for marketing programs, reporting and post-implementation reviews and raises awareness when programs are not on track against budget Forecasts marketing spend and ensures accruals are accurately recorded monthly Ensure supplier set-up is timely and accurate for all marketing suppliers Supports marketing performance measurement and evaluation by gathering relevant data Supports preparation of marketing presentations, by gathering data and formatting documents Interacts with vendors (e. g., agencies, film production, etc.) to ensure that invoices are raised and validates charges Oversee all finance/marketing related processes and coordinate responses to audit Responsible for management of Mastercard merchandise sourcing and distribution including budget line and supplier relationship Managing and reporting asset monetization value Managing and tracking saving efficiencies & reporting Works with relevant members of the team to manage adherence to and track compliance requirements (Spotlight, Vivo etc). All About You Demonstrates knowledge of internal and external financial reports Experienced in financial and operational analysis and modeling Demonstrated ability to conduct analyses using various programs, e. g., Microsoft Excel, Access, SPSS Exposure to financial systems and applications (e. g., Hyperion, Oracle) Experience researching vendor invoices, highlighting issues and identifying trends Specialist knowledge in Finance & Management Reporting- Degree in Finance, Accounting. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to capture opportunities for efficiencies.
