About the Position About Uniting Uniting Unifam Counselling and Mediation helps people find new hope and new beginnings through providing professional, community based counselling and mediation. About You You will provide a range of therapeutic and group work services to individuals, children, couples and families aimed at improving health and wellbeing and an increased capacity to manage and experience relationships positively. This is a part time closed period contract up until June 2018 based in Wollongong. Your Experience ticks the following boxes Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work or Counselling. Eligibility for membership of relevant professional body (e. g. AASW, APS, PACFA). - Minimum two years previous experience providing individual, couple and/or family therapy. Competence in working with issues of violence. Demonstrated ability to manage high conflict individuals, couples and families with complex issues. Understanding of Child Protection issues. Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as be able to contribute to the functioning of a team. Excellent communication, organisation and report writing skills. Computer literacy. Even Better Post graduate qualifications and/or training in individual, or family therapy. Experience in working with children and adolescents. Experience in working with court ordered and involuntary clients. Experience in working with families post separation. Why work for Uniting?
