About the Position Employee Relations Legal Counsel AMP values career development Open to Flexible work arrangements Next door to Trains Buses and Ferries About the role This role provides you the autonomy to utilise your experience and background where you will provide key legal services relating to employment and industrial relations matters across AMP, including governance, risk, legislative and regulatory issues Provide the Working closely with P&C (and other business areas as required) you will provide commercially relevant employment and industrial relations legal advice and support to P&C functions, AMP Board (where appropriate) in relations to Employment related legal risks and options Development of new policies and strategies that support employment and industrial relations regulatory/ legislative changes. AMP s employment and industrial relations strategy and where applicable, vary/redraft/renegotiate industrial instruments to ensure business imperatives are addressed Complex employee management issues including terminations of employment, contractual issues and senior executive remuneration issues Dispute and litigation management services including claims relating to discrimination, harassment, bullying, unfair dismissal and general protections etc Management and supervision of investigations and case management Legal representation before courts and tribunals as appropriate Build collaborative internal and external stakeholder relationships We are looking for experienced legal professional, ideally has at least 3 years PQE as an Employee Relations lawyer What we also look for in you is Legal degree or other appropriate legal qualifications Must hold a relevant legal Practising Certificate Solid employment/industrial relations legal experience preferably within large/minimum law firms or in-house role Demonstrated ability to provide commercially focussed legal advice within an employment/industrial relations framework Litigation and dispute management of employment and industrial relations issues Effective inter-personal and communication skills including the ability to deal confidently with stakeholders and provide clear concise advice Analytical and problem-solving skills.
