About the opportunity Due to continuous client demand throughout the Bankstown and Campbelltown regions, we currently have multiple opportunities for a Vietnamese or Cantonese speaking Support Workers to join our friendly and supportive Home & Community Care team based at our Bankstown office. Reporting directly to the team leader for the region, you will be responsible for providing person-centred care to our clients in assisting them to maintain their independence in their own homes. Dependent on your level of experience and qualification, key responsibilities with assisting our clients may include Undertaking of domestic work, including but not limited to cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, washing and ironing, transportation, shopping, preparation and cooking of meals Supervise or assist with daily hygiene such as showering or bathing Assistance with toileting Provide assistance and support to the client with medication management Mobility support to the client such as assistance with sitting, standing, getting in or out of bed or a vehicle with the use of mechanical aids About you You are an exceptional team player with a high level of energy and enthusiasm that thrives on helping others. You will have a current drivers licence with access to a comprehensively insured vehicle and a current first aid certificate. Specifically you will be able to demonstrate Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to speak and understand Vietnamese Strong time management and ability to prioritise Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent (desirable) CHCCS303A module provide physical assistance with medication (desirable) CHCAC319A provide support to people living with dementia As part of this role, you will be required to visit clients within both the Campbelltown and Bankstown regions.
